ACE is about the behaviors, systems and structures that lead to a
new culture that's able to successfully implement & sustain LEAN.
The tools & techniques are only 20-25%, while ACE is 75-80% of the
effort to achieve a sustainable LEAN initiative.
LEADERSHIP by Top Management, based on using ACE and knowing LEAN,
is the key ingredient for success. LEADERSHIP is not spectator
sport. Attending initial training sessions, along with having high
EXPECTATIONS, followed up with INSPECTING to see how things are
progressing, coupled with RE-ENFORCING the need to ensure the
changes are moving forward are critical roles of LEADERSHIP
